Editorial site refresh

A performance-minded redesign that made a deep content library easier to browse, read, and maintain across devices.

The challenge

A valuable archive had become difficult to navigate and costly to maintain. Readers struggled to discover related material, while editors worked around rigid templates.

The approach

I paired a lightweight content audit with a new information hierarchy, reusable editorial layouts, and a typography system designed for long-form reading.

Accessibility and page weight were treated as product requirements throughout the build rather than checks at the end.

The outcome

The refreshed site created clearer paths through the archive, improved the reading experience on small screens, and gave editors more flexibility without sacrificing consistency.
